Hey guys. I am incredibly new to this forum and I just practically got my new G73jh laptop. Now I have been hearing things about many BSOD's, but to be honest with you I have absolutely no clue on how to fix these problems. Would anybody be able to guide me through the process on skype or maybe MSN in order to help me? Thank you so much and sorry for being such a noob.

Post your MSN or skype below and I will add you :)

One look at this subforum and you'll probably be able to see there are really no fixes out yet. Unless you need the newest drivers, I would advise to either stay on stock or 10.1 video card graphics drivers - as those are both stable and have no GSODs. If you are talking about BSODs - those are entirely Windows related problems, not G73JH problems, and the answer for those can be found on the BSOD screen.

Are there any more updated drivers I can use in relation to my video card? I was also hearing something about updating the vBIOS as well?

If you just got it chances are you don't know if your unit is vulnerable to them - just stick with the stock drivers it came with and you'll have 0 issues, at least until a stable fix is found for 10.x drivers.

You can go ahead and upgrade to the newest drivers if you want, they may or may not be stable. If they aren't - you could try the beta vBIOS - there is a large thread about it.

Don't let the forums scare you, just try to use and enjoy your laptop. If you do end up with issues, then feel free to join the frenzy!

tempuuura, you weren't clear whether or not you're actually experiencing any of these issues on your own machine. if you're not, there is a general rule of thumb you should keep close to your heart:

"if it's not broken, don't try to fix it."

If you have no issues, don't do anything. Enjoy your notebook for a few weeks, and if any issues arise, come back to us and we will be happy to help :)
