    G73JH how to reinstall oryginal aplication question

    I have problem
    With my G73 JH was additional application given by asus which serves to record DVD i think it was Power2Go . This application stopped working in my computer and i would like to reinstall it.I belive that this application is available on the hiddden partition but i don't know how to get it. Or mabe you know different localisation on asus page where it is possible to get this application

    I think you are looking for power4gear. Look here under utilities: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support-

    edit: woops :p Power2Go must've come on a separate DVD, I don't think ASUS distributes that software on their website.

    Yes, but application to burn DVD i had on my computer directly afte i 've bought a laptop, i belive when i make system reinstalation from hidden partition it application will reinastal as well. all i need is to reinstal ONLY this application

    If you don't have a disc with the power2go application installer on it (besides the recovery discs or recovery partition), you don't really have any way to reinstall it without going through some hoops.

    The hidden recovery partition has an image on it, it used to be a norton ghost image, but now (at least on the G73) it's a WIM image. I've never done this, but it looks like it'd be possible use a linux livecd (or some other utility) to copy the contents of the hidden recovery partition to your main partition, and then use imagex to mount the image and find the installer. The command line options for imagex are here, the one you'd need is mount: ImageX Command-Line Options
