Today I turned over my G73 and noticed both of the back rubber feet-pads have come off! I've been so careful with this thing, even bought one of those little rolling laptop desks for it to sit on. Must have came off from using the backpack (tight fit) so can i order more or what? Im kinda shocked how easily they came off but i do remember one of the forum users noticing that the feet came off easy at CES.

    what do you guys think?

UPDATE: Yep one of them was in my backpack , other one is gone

You can order more by calling Asus.

Just super glue them back on.

One of mine fell off but I just stuck it back on. Will use superglue if it comes off again, but looks like it may be another issue.

I called Asus and they want me to send the thing in for a repair on this same issue. Is there a third party that has parts?

You could make your own with a box cutter, thin pieces of rubber and some super glue .... Probably find thin pieces of rubber at a craft store or hobby store.

    dotcombust: that's a good suggestion.

07torchgt: yes, seems ridiculous; I've appealed to another level of tech support but they haven't called me yet. I'm not holding my breath.

I've looked at it closely and frankly I am not sure that those rubber feet matter given the angle.

Why don't you just glue them back on?

Check out this page here in the Jameco catalog. Near the bottom in the "Adhesive Rubber Feet" section, figure 5. I would rather modify something like this with a metal ruler and a sharp knife to create a decent shape then have to send the laptop back to ASUS for this issue.

The above is a quick suggestion, as 3M makes hundreds of different types of rubber feet. I have no personal knowledge whether the above will work.
