    G73JH no sound from Right speaker

    Left works fine
    headphones, I get sound from both sides
    but the built in, only sound from the left speaker

    just opened the box a hour or two ago

    Driver issue. You need to check and installed it properly. I had that problem in past while setting up the sounds.

    was worried since the headphone were normal

    you wouldnt happen to have the link to the updated raltek drivers?

    I went to the site and Im not sure what to get

    Also note, some people like myself. Realtek uninstalls the driver on the first try after reboot. Install it again if it doesn't work.

    Edit: Well, I uninstaled the drivers, rebooted, reinstalld them, rebooted

    still no sound from the right speaker

    Maybe you have a loose wire connection

    just to make sure this isnt user error

    do I use Vista_Win7_R249_x64
    or the Vista_Win7_R249

    both say they work with Win 7 64bit

    make sure realtek hd is in the uninstall list. That way you know its properly installed. You also might need to disable the second "sound" and set to default on the first one. There's a guide somewhere around here.
