    the title says it all
when i press these buttons my plastic squeaks around F1,F2,F3,F4,F5,F6 but from F7 seems to be less squeaky
the other buttons seems to be alright
almost i never press those buttons but when i press them i can hear the sound and it is annoying

can i fix this somehow ?
how reachable is the front part fom opening(i've never opened my G73JH)
is there a way to fix this without opening?

Sounds like one of the keyboard contacts is not holding it in place. At the top of the keyboard you have 5 flathead screwdriver shaped holes that you can push a thin flathead into one at a time holding the keyboard underneith as you do this and the top will pop up.

You might have something underneith that is causing it although the annoying sticky tape they use near middle of the keyboard to hold it on should prevent any movement but wont help the top of it.

I also found that removing the pieces of sticky tape that are stuck all around the touchpad film stopped all my iratic mouse problems too. Worth ripping her apart to fix a few things.

hmm i actually pressed it with pressure and now the buttons don't squeak (probably temporary)
maybe this could be from the heat (sun) that the plastic doesn't lay like it should

is there any tutorial for this :D

    YouTube - BTOtech.com | G73Jh & G73Jw Disassembly Take Apart G73 g73jw service manual

Shows you the Biotech disassembly and it starts with removing the keyboard.

The keyboard does bend easily so it may just be slightly out of shape and why its squeaking be warned you can cause damage when removing it cause of the god awful tape that just will not budge be very gentle when pulling it up to not bend the keyboard or tear the cables. It could just have come loose of the double sided tape putting pressure on it probably fixed it.

i have pushed only the first hole and above ESC and reatached it
so i will see for now but i think that is OK
i don't like the plastic on the top either
i feel like my laptop is falling apart (but that is the design probably)

    p.s hey and +1 rep

I was worried as I pulled up the keyboard when I did my repasting as I had read a lot of people had bent the keyboard and after whipping it out I noticed why because it is very flimsy.

You can pop all 5 of the clips up this wont do anything to it just the sticky tape lower down is a knightmare because you dont know if the foil film is ripping or the double sided tape but it is the tape :D

but those clips are so hard to take out
i mean i was only able to press the first one and tryed the second one but i couldn't get it ... but only the first clip made it :)
have you considered making the keyboard light mod

They are a little tricky I used a really thin flathead and just kept flicking it upwards from the bottom once the first one is up you need to put your fingers under the corner and gentle lift as you do the other clips.

Im considering it as im not to fond of the white light its a little boring and as I have my G73 at an angle on a cooler you can see the white lines as well.
