    Hi
I just bought an ASUS G73JH remanufactured and the sound will not work at all, I have reflashed the bios, uninstalled Audigy and updated realtek to 2.57
and now I get a faint pop from the speakers (I did pull the keyboard to check the were plugged in) also I get random messages that I have pluged in to the audio jack but when I do plug in headphones it usualy dosn't register.
    Any clues would be appreciated

Hmm...the sound card might be malfunctioning. Can't you just return it?
(Since having sound is fairly important when spending $1000+ lol)

Edit: The only way you could test the sound card (that I know of) would be to use an external sound card like the one in my sig and see if you get sound.

Return it. Its sound card is faulty for sure. If what you've done can't fix it , really there's nothing else you can do.
