So the other day i was playing NBA2K12 on my laptop on the battery and about 3 quarters into the game it became very stuttery and laggy as hell. so i thought it would be low battery and it wasnt >.< 40% so i plugged it in and tried playing again and walah no more problem so i thought w.t.ff w.e went ahead and tried it one more time off the battery and BAM did it again >.< so im assuming its a on battery problem has anyone else experienced the same?

Finally its most obviously throttling because it is trying to draw more power from the battery than is available the G73JH at high performance with a stock CPU can chew anywhere from 120-150watts. -
and in power4gear i do have the battery clock set to 100% but i dont think ive set it in CCC which im asuming you mean ATI CCC? if so how do i go about doing this? -
Open CCC in advanced mode, power and in the powerplay options, select performance even for battery. Basically, your GPU is downclocking when on battery and for good reason too. You should also know that it is not a good idea to play games on battery, it will wear it down much more quickly. Li-Ion batteries don't like large power drains and that's exactly what you're doing when gaming on battery. Also expect your gaming time on battery to decrease dramatically with the higher clocks.

Even so gaming is not really for batteries it may still struggle if it tries to draw too much power. -
Thank you both for your help i will be trying this as soon as i get home. and as for gaming on the battery i usually dont do this unless im having a session with my friends and we want to play a game of nba 2k12. considering this game doesnt really use much resources as it requires very minimal do you think it can still affect the battery because if it does i dont want to risk at messing up the battery :/ -

Try running the battery at full clock when doing word processing and you'll see that the battery drains very quickly even then. Regardless of the amount of battery you use and whether it's bad or not for the battery, you'll likely won't last more than 30 minutes on battery.

but whats ivy? and i wonder if asus will hop on the 7 series when it does come out that or hopefully well be able to upgrade our laptops to the 7 series already
