I installed the 93a vbios, but the card doesn't want to clock up properly in games. It sits at 405/1000 unless I manually adjust the clocks. 10.11 cats installed. Should I try one of the modded vbios? I uninstalled P4Gear because it kept resetting my desktop and pissing me off.

Sounds like powerplay is set at battery. Go into Ati control panel and set it to performance.

thanks, I didn't think about that. I'll give it a look.

seems like it takes a min for the up clock to kick in when the powerplay is in effect. But it is now working right.

Just use AMD Gpu Clock tool to manually clock the GPU.

Use 300/1000 when just surfing the web or whatever (I personally use 200/405 clocks) and use 700/1000 for when you're gaming.
