I recently upgraded all of my drivers because my G73 kept locking up randomly, and updated to the latest 211 bios. Since then, both my volume controls and keyboard backlight have stopped working. The backlight I expect I won't be able to fix based on all the other threads, but what's up with my volume? I did just install the latest keyboard driver and the brightness controls work, so I know the Fn key is working.

Did you install the ATK package? I think some of the Fn stuff works without the ATK. There is a fix for the keyboard lights somewhere, try the ATK first and then see if you can turn up the keyboard lights.

Yep. What Morecoffee said. You are missing the ATK package. It is necessary for the KB lights to work.

I did install the latest ATK package and the keyboard driver from Asus. Still no luck. :\

Edit: well, maybe I hadn't rebomething. Tried it again, rebooted and now my volume keys work. Thanks guys! Still no backlight though.

Once the ATK package is installed, you will still need FN+F4 to turn the lights on
