    Hey guys!
Last night when I tried running Premiere Pro CS5, I've got a bit disappointed because when I tried launching it, I've got a big phat error stating that it can't find my video device and gently asked me to update VGA driver or get lost.

Yep, you guest it, I am using 9.12 stock drivers, the new drivers are a no-no for me because of GSOD heaven.

However I may have found a (temporary) solution for people that have driver GSOD problem, but trying to use Premiere Pro CS5.

    Here is what I did:
-install 10.6, but don't run WEI or you get GSOD (not counting the people who got lucky and don't have this problem)
-run Premiere Pro, maybe even make a new project
-uninstall 10.6 and run driver sweeper during safe mode
    -install back the stock drivers

I've done this and now Premiere Pro CS5 runs with stock drivers too.

you can use the 10.1 Drivers from Asus you know. except if you get GSOD from that.

the 10.1 is as stable as the stock one

For me i install 10.6 because i can't run blender on the 10.1. Something to do with the drivers it just doesn't load. But most of the time the 10.6 works very nicely. I set my overdrive to 705/1100

I don't like that 10.1...according to DXDiag it is not WHQL and it can't even read it's release date.

I can tell you right now that the 10.6's run over 40% faster then the stocks in premier CS5. The biggest boost was from the 10.3's to the 10.4's in all adobe products using the this mobility gpu.

If you cant run the 10.6's without GSOD the return then laptop cause the new drivers are totally worth it without a doubt for both games and pro apps.

Just do the slight overclock in AMD GPU Tool and it should help stabilize the system. I don't get gsod in normal applications, its just L4D2 that gives way once in a while. What i have in my system is, 10.6, ziddy's V3 (very nice), 209 bios and over drive set to 705/1100. So far its quite alright. I haven't installed softwares such as premiere pro basically cuz the reason i got this laptop was for legit softwares :$. So its gona be all original when i can afford them. I really don't think u get gsod's running premiere pro or after effects right?

I use 10.6 CCC for Adobe Photoshop and Premiere CS5, and they work well.
