Anyone else having issues with opening pictures larger than 1920 x 1080 on the G73JH? It seems like a scaling issue to me and the ATI 5870 Mobility. I have this happening both pre and post vbios update.

Just curious if anyone has seen this and can point me to a link with the fix.

Im running the 10.8 drivers with latest bios and latest vbios downloaded from the issues thread on this forum. Windows 7 Ultimate 64. I have never realy had any grey screen issues but when i open a picture larger than the native res i get a weird grey or gold screen and it freezes the system then goes into a crash dump blue screen and lists atikmpag.sys as the crash dump file with the issue. Its the only issue i have and play games all the time with no issues. It is trying to use the default windows photo viewer.

    TY in advance.

The software you're using to render the pictures may be bad but I can't see why the video adapter would have anything to do with it.
