ok when i got my G73JH-A1 it came with 4 partitions which i don't like
I am planing to delete all partitions reformat and create new partitions so how would you suggest me to create them ( i would love to have only 2 partitions but i think that is impossible)

if there was only one HDD in this machine i would have created 2 partitions
    - C:/ 50gb for the windows and installed programs
    - D:/ and the rest 950gb for DATA
so when it comes to formating i will format only C:/ without touching D:/

so it's possible or not to do those 2 partitions (one 50gb and the second one what's left)
or i have to do at least 3 partitions which i don't like

I personally just split the two Hard Drives, so each partition was 500gb. I don't really care how big the OS partition is, since most games default their installation to that partition, now I don't have to remember to change it everytime. Then I use the second drive for data storage such as music, movies, and any other large space items.

hmm maybe i will do that but i will have a lot of unused space in drive C
what if your drive D is full and you have for example 200gb free in C :)
that may be not the best solution for me ( i don't want to put important stuff in OS partition becouse maybe i will be forced to format it and loose everything there
why don't they put only 1 drive maybe we could have more battery life

the only way i could remember is doing 3 partitions
1 partition from first drive- 50gb (only OS + programs)
2 partition from first drive- 450gb (DATA)
3 partition from second drive- 500gb (DATA)

    thanks for the reply EckoAbrams
