Hi.
I have overclocked my 920QM a little bit with setfsb.
The weird thing I noticed, is it seem the processor is not working faster even tho I see its clocked hit the 3+ ghz.
FOr example, the Windows score (WEI) is still 7.0 for the CPU.
I was expecting it to go a least 7.1
I did other test with some other cpu bench program and did not notice improvement as I would notice on my desktop system.
Anyones else noticed that? any clue why my overclock doesn't seem to really work?
Edit: I tested some furmark here and I noticed, i have a decrease in performance (my max fps is a little lower)

you have an extrem processor, so you can change your multiplier, with setfsb and higher multiplier, your speed will be increased !!!

SetFSB is not of much use with a 920xm (I guess you meant this processor...) at least that's what I experienced. It's pretty hard to get a stable clock that gives you some decent boost.
I highly recommend using Throttlestop when you have a 920xm. With this program you can set the multiplier of all cores and also adjust the TDP/TDC value. You will easily be capable of running your CPU at about 3.2 GHz or more across all cores, and really stable. Check it out, let me know it you have some questions about it or ask unclewebb in the thread I linked to, he's the creator of this fascinating piece of software. -
Oops.. 720QM.... sorry

Well in this case throttlestop isn't of much use for overclocking, except for knowing the exact clock speeds and multis of each core and keeping an eye on the temps.
How far did you raise your BCLK with setFSB? Forget WEI, it's not accurate at all. You can run it two times in a row with the same settings everywhere and you probably get some different scores in some categories.
