Hey guys, I have an Asus G73JH-A2 laptop. When I try to play CSGO my computer shuts right off after about 1 - 5 minutes. Sometimes im even still in the server menus and it shuts right off before im even in the actual gameplay.
I have upgraded my video card driver, my chipset driver, and my bios and nothing has changed. Is anyone else experience a similar issue?
Also my GPU and CPU are running at about 70 degrees celcius when it shuts off so i know its not an overheating issue.
My Hardware:
CPU
1.6GHz Intel Core i7-720QM
Operating System MS Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)
RAM
8GB
Hard Drive
Intel 320 SSD 120GB
Display Size
17.3
Native Resolution
1920x1080
Optical Drive
DVD /-R /-RW
Optical Drive Speed
Graphics Card
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870
Video Memory
1GB
Wi-Fi
802.11b/g/n
Bluetooth
Bluetooth 2.1+EDR
Mobile Broadband
Ports (excluding USB)
Ethernet; HDMI; Headphone; Kensington Lock; Microphone; VGA
Also, there is no battery currently in the machine. I can play any other high end game with no issue so im thinking this shouldnt be the problem.
I can play all other games (BF3, sniper elite v2, cs source) on max settings with no issues. It never shuts off when not gaming either.
Any help will be much appreciated.
