Hi, today is a bad day for me...
I was having a problem with the power for my A2.
battery = 72% , and when i remove the adapter cable, the machine go off right away...
i have tried to remove and reinstall the battery but didn't work, so i tried to upgrade BIOS.
I went to Asus homepage and download the BIOS 213 for G73JH, extract fom zip, and then put the file into a "FAT32 Formatted" Usb. I rebooted the machine, got in the BIOS menu, start the Asus easy flash and update the BIOS from the file inside the Usb.
The process looked like perfectly without any error (Erasing...Programming...and then the machine will automatically shut off after 2 secs). After the machine shut off itself, i pressed the power button, all the lights went on, the fan was spining, but remain the black screen.
The HDD spin for awhile and then stop...
The old BIOS was 209 and i have seen several topic like thiss on Google when trying to upgrade to 213 BIOS.
Any idea? Just asking before i bring my laptop to Asus Vietnam. It is kinda shame when i bought this thing on Ebay at Us and then it became dead today at Vietnam...

I am sure you are going to hear this from someone else, but just remove the power cord and battery and let it sit for about 30 to 60 seconds. Afterwards, put them back in and try again.

i have already tried it. I let it sit in about 2hrs without battery and power cord, and the same thing happened when i installed the battery and plugged in power cord.
The machine couldn't power up with the battery only.

I would suggest removing the power cord and the battery and also pressing the power button for about 15 seconds, sometimes this can drain any power that is left over in the laptop. Also, try hooking up an external monitor and see if anything appears on that (just to rule out any GPU issues).

I am pretty sure it is not VGA issue, Since there are a lot people who did brick their G73JH with Easy Flash during updating BIOS to 213.
My warranty is still, so i can RMA it (hopefully).
But are there any point to try put the BIOS file in a FAT32 USB, rename to AMIBOOT.ROM and then force the update with Ctrl+home?

    I even found this :
    http://www.asus.com/999/html/events/mb/crashfreebios2.htm

Does this thing happen the same with laptop motherboard?

I hope they can recover it.
But strenge thing: No RMA Number was provided for me, is that normal?

Doesn't work this morning...i have to leave it for ASUS. One technican said that i might i have to purchase a new battery to solve the Power-Corrupt problem?

When do you guys usually have the RMA number? I have nothing except a copy of a receipt from ASUS Vietnam that i have left my G73JH at ASUS Vietnam under ASUS 2 years global warranty.

Yep, the case number is on the receipt.
How long is normal for them to fix the error like this?
And i have heard that ASUS will still do the warranty for bad flash ?

Called ASUS Vietnam today. They said the mainboard is failed, so they are ordering a new one for me. I hope they can get here before August. Any extra fee that i may have to pay ?
