Do you guys know how to turn off the indicator? I researched it and it seems the general consensus was to do it though the control panel through windows, but that did not seem to work =/

Any ideas on how to turn the indicator off?

Are you talking about an "on screen" indicator, or the little blue light?

This is most likely due to the Asus software, which shows the on screen indicators when you change brightness, sound volume, and press certain keys. You can check in the settings of the Asus software, but you will most likely have to uninstall it to get rid of the on screen indicator. Your other functions should still work, you just won't see them on screen.

By any chance, are you using an external keyboard with the program that came with it installed? That will also put these types of things on screen, so try uninstalling those drivers if this is the case.

No, the stuff you want is controlled by the ATK Driver, and removoing that disables the use for Fn+F9, Lights, Turbo, and Splendid.

I disabled the Caps Looks key through the registry for good. It's an annoying
key which I prefer to deactivate. Doing that, the screen indicator was gone of course.
