Hello i currently have a Asus G73JH-BST7 and am looking to upgrade the ram. I see originally the ram inside my laptop now is DDR3 PC3-10700(667 MHz). I am now looking to upgrade the ram and I was wondering if i would be able to fit DDR3 PC3-12800 (1600 MHz). Sorry i am a noob when it comes to laptop memory >.< But yeah if there are any questions feel free to ask me so that i can help you help me with my answer.

Okay so in more detail im getting this ram :
    Corsair CMSX8GX3M2A1600C9 Vengeance Laptop Memory Kit - 8GB (2x 4GB), PC3-12800, DDR3-1600MHz, 204-pin SODIMM, 1.5V, CL9, XMP Ready at TigerDirect.com

Now i was wondering if i do get these two sticks of ram would i be able to dual channel these two and leave two of the 2gb sticks in as well.

In other words id like for it to be like this
    Slot 1: 4gb corsair
    slot 2: 4gb corsair
    slot 3: 2gb stock
    slot 4: 2gb stock

    Thanks ahead of time :D

Match 1&3 together and 2&4 together, so lets say corsair 1&3 and stock 2&4, 2 is the one behind the mobo. Socket numbering in attached pic:

Yep, it'll fit for sure. It won't run at 1600MHz as the memory controller on Clarksfield CPUs only support up to 1333MHz, but you'll have tighter timings. The timings won't be teh same for each RAM pair, but that shouldn't be a problem as long as the pairs are on the same channel.
