Hi everyone. I've scoured the internet for a week now and have come to the conclusion the 1.3mp webcam driver from Asus' website will not work with the G73JH BestBuy model. What I did find out though is if you let W7 install it's own Microsoft driver, it works perfectly even with LifeFrame.
If I install the W7 x64 driver from Asus (even matching up the hardware id) it gives the error "driver is not intended for this platform" but works...then after a reboot if I open up LifeFrame it will say "camera in use by another application". Using the default W7 driver for the webcam everything works perfectly.
All other drivers for the laptop are from Asus' website, with the exception of the webcam.

For people still having trouble getting their webcam to for thier Bestbuy Model of the Asus G73 after a fresh install of Windows 7 (Tantixx is right, but let me add on to this cause it didn't work for me at first):
Go to Start>Right click Computer>Manage>Imaging Devices
Right click USB2.0 1.3M UVC WebCam>Properties>Update Driver>
Browse my computer for driver software>Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer>Select "USB Video Device">Next>Close.
Open up LifeFrame>Settings>Advanced Settings> Make sure the right Camera is selected. should be either "USB Video Device" or "USB2.0 1.3M UVC WebCam"
That's how I got mine working. The drivers from Asus support don't work for us.
G73JH-BST7 W7 webcam driver from Asus = no go
