Hello,
I recently purchased the wifi chip and installed it, black antenna on the number 1 port and white antenna on the number 2 port. once i log into windows and install the drivers i always get a (Code 10) "the device cannot start".
I've since ordered a replacement part and still I am getting the same issue.
what could be the cause of this? I was thinking this would be straight forward as other people's experience but....![]()
can anyone help me with this?
thank you!

I believe I had a problem like this when I first upgraded my g73. My solution was to remove the card, go back into windows to remove the drivers, then I reinstalled every component on the disc (since the first time I did it, I used the limited express setup that doesn't install everything like custom does) that it comes with before I put the card back into the computer. That seemed to fix it.

i just wish i could find the right drivers to get this working.
[edit]
my device manager shows the card as
intel wireless 6200 AGN
so maybe there's something there if somebody came across this before. -
OP have you tried his suggestion?
Cheers, -
thanks guys, just tried it..but it doesn't work for me...darn.
i wonder what it could be... -
Where did you get the driver? From here?
Mine says "Intel(R) Centrino(R) Advanced-N 6200 AGN". -

Just got an 6200 aswel with a model number of 622ANHMW and have the same issue...dosent work in my dad's G730HJ-A1 nor my G50Vt and ive even so far as to reformat the machine and nothing... whats the model number on thoses of you that have t working I think there are different model 6200.

Make sure it's an official Intel 6200. I was burned by an "ES" (engineering sample) version from eBay. I had the same issue, code 10 device can not start.

That sucks. If you need a legit card, babyhemi sells them on here. He ships fast.

Just got mine a few days ago and there were no problems with the install. It took less than 5 minutes. -
Got the one I have now from babyhemi as well. Works perfectly.
-
Just got mine in today from there as well. Just put it in and booted her up, works great. Much better signal off the bat than the stock card.

For thoses of you who have it working, what model # do you have on it? I think the ANHMW is the problem here. I see the HMWWB being sold on alot of sites instead. This is just to make sure. and maybe help others that view this thread.
-
Dont't buy it from ebay or site like ebay they all seem to have that problem, My guess is they are fake is some way.
-
Buy it from provantage.com. It's about the same price and guaranteed to work.

THREAD NECROOOO!!!!! I have to verify as i researched this with my G73 having problems at a Hotel staying connected. Had to buy a hub to connect from across the room.. aggravating. but yes. DO NOT BUY ANHMW Model # please get the HMWWB model. arrrgghh. Looks like im using the Lan again at the next hotel!!!

Before finding this thread actually I bought the 6300 633ANHMW, which caused the same symptoms to my G73JH - error message "device cannot start". Fresh install with the card plugged in didn't help, new Intel drivers had no influence.
I bought the card from a local notebook parts reseller (to get the invoice with local VAT) and they obtained it through their DELL parts vendor. I RMAd the card twice, they sent me back another unit for the 1st time, but next time they just claimed the card is OK and returned that last example back to me.
In which notebook or other device the 633ANHMW may work or whom may I offer the card? I'm asking because I just don't want to scrap a good card w/o any use to me - I'd like to give it or perhaps exchange with some HMWWB unit.
