Hi guys! After having updated FFXIV today, my game started crashing right after I hit the "Play" button. I'm not sure about how to get a crash report, I'd be more than happy to post it if someone can point out where to get that. I have tried searching on the forums and even on Google and have not been able to find any resolutions for this issue. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Edit: Found the log I think, if this is not sufficient information then please let me know what/where to look for it and also adding information about drivers.

Catalyst 10.12 installed, including the newest version of VBios and Bios was flashed through the dos method posted on these forums.

I would try reapplying the update. Try and use a downloadable installer if one is available.

Just so you know, I doubt this is related in any way to the G73JH, try The support forum of the game maybe?

Thanks for the response guys! I did find the fix, like Rorage said it may not be G73JH specific but in one of the other boards someone else had the same issue and they had emailed SE about it and turns out it was an audio issue with FFXI. The fix was to lower the audio format under 44100 Hz.

i use G60JX, i found the quite same problem.
but i can run ffxiv approximately 20-30min, and then the G60JX crashed and freezed.(it 's the first time, which i found this problem.)

moreover, my G60JX will freeze immediately when i activate levequest.
and the audio format under 44100 Hz adjusting is not work for me.

Hey Mguy9, I had that similar problem on the G73JH but it was because of overclocking. FFXI seems to be very temperamental when it comes to GPUs, the slightest change while the game is running can make it crash. I'd try emailing SE through their website, give them your computer information from the FFXI config file and they might be able to help.
