I realize you cannot upgrade the GPU because Asus has soldered it onto the mother board. But I am just curious if anyone knows if you can upgrade the CPU and if so has anyone seen any problems with over heating or anything when they did it. I would like to upgrade to an i7 900 series if possible.

AFAIK the GPU is not soldered but uses an ASUS connector that is the reverse of most available. If you search the forum there are people who've done this. Also, some take-apart guides are available as well.

    Cheers,

The ASUS G series models does require a near full teardown in order to change out the processor, so it isn't the easiest task in the world but it can be done. As Panzer mentioned, there are several take apart guides out there if you want to attempt it.
