Can't decide over getting the ASUS G73JH-X3 or G73JW-XT1. If the increased price is only because of the blueray, I'd just get the JH. I know there are some problems with the JH (with solutions) on the forum but what about the JW? Is it more stable?

Also, has anyone had issues with tigerdirect when it comes to returning laptops? I see they accept returns up to 30 days from the purchase date. I'm staying away from Newegg because their return policy involves still paying for part of the laptop (from what I read anyways) and I've had a lot of issues with buying high end gaming laptops recently.

The increased price also is because it's the newer model with the GTX 460 instead of the 5870.

Are there issues with the ATI 5870?

I heard that Canadian keyboards suck. Is this what these ones would have? I bought mine through Memory Express but I think it is US keyboard.

GAH, why you'd buy something from tiger direct, I don't know. They've got terrible customer service, and their storage facilities (stores) treat merchandise like garbage. And if you want warranty service? HA. Good luck with tiger direct.

I don't know much about tiger direct and newegg. All I know is what I read on their return policies. Tiger direct gives a full refund within 30 days of purchase while I think newegg requires you to still pay for a % of the product when returning.

problem with the xa1 is that it only has a 1-year warranty. The A1 and xt1 have the 2-year. 1 year shorter warranty suck hard, imo.

Amazon has a SquareTrade 3-Year Warranty, but i don't know how goo that is or have any experience with SquareTrade. It also costs $160, making it $110 more expensive than the XT1 at that point.

Has anyone heard how their warranties are?

Good point. I really hate how there are so many different models that it's next to impossible to get them all straight! I'm not too worried, though - the G73JW runs so cool I doubt I'll have heating issues. Plus this is the wife's computer, so she won't be overclocking, and barely uses it (maybe a couple times a week). Guess we'll just have to see how things play out.

For me, Amazon is no tax/free shipping. Tax for me would've been around $105. Add in shipping, and there's the price difference.
