So! I've had my brand new, shiny Asus for about 24 hours now, and I still. cannot. access. the. internet. wirelessly! I've tried updating my drivers on my Atheros 9285 Wireless Adapter (to v8.0.0.351, because apparently v.9+ are buggy) and still cannot connect to my Linksys E2000. I think tried to install a Linksys AE1000 and still, no luck. Cisco tech wants me to call Asus, which I think is a crock because I've heard HORROR stories about their tech support...

Does anyone know how to get this thing to connect!?

I haven't updated anything on the Asus system because, well, I'm just not that savvy. I have no idea what a BIOs or anything else is... HELP!

You didn't disable it with Fn-F2 did you?

Plus you will need to get the vBIOS updated as well. You can link to my Driver page linked below for current driver versions. And maybe get someone to help you with the updates.

Darn. I was hoping I wouldn't need those updates... Should I take it to the Geeksquad or is it pretty simple and I can do it myself? Haha.

vBIOS? Simple if you read the instructions. Takes about 2 minutes from formatting the USB stick to actually flashing the BIOS.

If you don't have the wireless adapter disabled (check by hitting FN+F2), then it may be a faulty module, network issue, or driver issue.

    What exactly doesn't work?
    Does it try to connect?
Do you receive an error message?
Which encryption settings are set on the router?
