    Hi,

Which wireless network adapter could replace an Atheros AR9285 in my G73JW to get better performances ?

    AR9285 can't get 5 Ghz wifi n, only 2.4 Ghz.
It also could be better, even in 2.4 Ghz.

So I want a wifi card which can get wifi "g", type "n" with both 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz.

    Thanks in advance.

Well everyone upgrades it to Intel Wireless-n 6300.
It's a popular upgrade and so far is really worth it, at least from what I hear.

Intel Ultimate N WiFi Link 6300 Mini Card is what I got, like Kingpinzero said.
I got it from ebay, but be careful, some people sell fake ones. I forgot how you could see if one is fake though, maybe someone else can elaborate on that.

You don't HAVE to. I just connected the 2 antennas to the card's first and second antenna slot, and it works just fine.

Yes, the 6300 has item model number: 633AN.HMWWB.

I think 6200 and 6300 are the same, but 6200 has 2 antennas, and 6300 has 3 antennas.

    Hey folks,

    So I've bought an Intel Wireless-n 6300.
The G73JW is a bit different from a G73JH, and the Wi-Fi card is not exactly at the same place.
But it's easy to unplug the antennas and it's easy to remove the 2 screws.
Is there any other thing I should take care before to go ?
I've already downloaded the Intel drivers.

    Thanks alot.
    ;)

    Hello!

I made this change from Atheros to Intel 6300 a couple of years ago. However, now I really need the bluetooth integrated.

I've with a little doubt, should I go for the 6230 combo or for the new 7260?

I'm just concerned with drivers and perfectly working condition for both wi-fi and bluetooth. What is your opinion?

    Thanks
