G73JW Driver and App ISO Plz

Can someone please host a copy of the G73JW Driver and App DVD, or at least PM me a link for it.

I was looking for the same thing for my G72. Do such disks exist anymore? Or is everything preloaded only now?

Check the post at asus section (not heren in gaming section) about the G73JW. The guy from GenTech state the JW does not come with dvd drivers.

 

Mine came with a drivers disk and its a couple Gigs.. I think around 2.5 or so..

I am posting the creative driver because Nekki asked for this specifically.. Its a Creative THX driver and i did not bother to check if its the same on the Asus website ...

Realtek driver's ...

There were 2 folders one named Realtek and the other Audio so you can take a poke at both of them...

Realtek Card Reader????? Still investigating. The Creative package is derivative from X-FI MB2, which is only available in asus mobos Rampage III

 

Quadzilla, are you certain there was no other audio-related packages on the install DVD?

Also, did your system come with the Creative Audio Control Panel pre-installed, it is the one where you can choose bass-boost, EAX effects, EQ, etc.???

If so, then there must be another installation directory on the DVD. If not, then it is an incomplete DVD and someone at Asus screwed up.

 

Honestly i didnt go over the disc with a fine tooth comb and i installed only the basics when i reinstalled windows 7 pro on the machine because most of that stuff to me is all bloat ..

I just looked over the DVD and found the Realtek stuff and then the Creative stuff and that was that...

 

thus the reason for asking for the full dvd

I don't think there's anywhere that'll allow you to upload a whole DVD, unless you RAR it into individual .rar files, but then it's a mess trying to keep track of the links. Try torrenting it if only Chasitity needs it.

But honestly, I can't see why in 2010 hunting for driver DVDs is still necessary...shouldn't the manufacturer have the drivers for download?

 

Asus most of the time does not put all the drivers on the disc available on the website... No clue as to why but yeah.

 

that's not always. There some specific items that came only in the DVD. example of this is the creative crapware, which is only in the dvd and the website version is not installable.

Thanks for the disc, but you are correct, there is nothing else on it...

What a waste... Since the JW audio solution won't install on the JH with the same exact fricken hardware...

Actually, I think the moral of the story is to NOT support Asus until they are known not to have any major issues with the product you are interested in.

 

Figures it was a huge waste of time lol...

Oh well now we know and knowing is half the battle...

 

Curious Quadzilla. Would you be willing to tell us what brand of memory you got in the JW?

Wonder if ASUS kept all the Kingston for the new JW's from the last batch of JH'es lol.

 

I think its either Hyundai or Hynix lol.. Its an off green color and nothing i have ever seen before... Certainly is not Kingston though..

So creative suite cames pre-installed with operating system and creative thx don't work with jh version.

 

it install in my system but do not work using either combination fo realtek drivers: 2.52, 2.48 modded, the one from Jw install dvd, etc.

 

Wouldn't it be just as easy to go to the Asus site and get the apps you need and leave the crapware alone? Maybe I am missing something?

 

which is a good driver updater software ?
