hey guys i was wondering what the options are for this laptop..

ive seen this floating around..Nvidia Geforce GTX 460QM 3Gb DDR5

ive also seen higher gpus and i was wondering if any of these would fit into my lappy or what i could swap to to get better performance? i was thinking that since all the G73 serries seem to keep the same form factor some what..shouldnt most of these cards work in my lappy?

I tried to put a Nvidia GTX 470m and a AMD 6970m in the G73JW, both without success... you should at least make a little reasearch (google) before asking the same old question again.

It may be possible to put in a card of a future G7x/G5x, but that's only speculation.
It may also work in a G73JH, but only a MSI 5870m has been confirmed to work in this machine so far, thanks to @tilla.

I'm really curious whether they will use the same stupid GPU layout or if they change to standard... because if they don't use the same layout you'll have to get a different heatsink before trying this.

Anyway, we'll see whether it's possible as soon as there are some pictures of a disassembled G74.

upgrade to gtx 560m is just waste of money.. u will only notice small fps like 2-4fps. if u want noticeable upgrade, gtx 485m/ati 6970hd will take you to higher level if only if... the gpu is supported by g73JW mobo bios... i would rather sell g73 and buy sager with gtx 485/ati 6970 coz its too risky
