Hey guys, go around to installing the JW audio solution on the JH. I installed both the Realtek drivers and Creative THX/Alchemy solution. It on ly installs the openal stuff, the THX driver and the EAX Gadget.

    A few points:

    - The Alchemy solution is a 1.43.01, which seems to be the latest one.
    - The EAX desktop gadget is only showing EAX 2.0
    - The THX Audio settings immediately comes up with an unsupported device warning.
    - There is no audio control panel like with the Audigy HD package.

Now, with this driver set I did notice Sacred 2:Fallen Angel does not crash upon startup. Before-hand I had to make sure there was a "-skipopenal" option added to the shortcut. On the downside it does not "see" the EAX options as it does now show the EAX banner in the sound settings option. (As a side note, I had it installed once, before I did an image restore during a debugging session, where it was running the stock Audigy HD drivers and it DID show the EAX options and did not crash. But alas, after the reimage it would not work again.)

So, it would seem maybe the installer looks for something specific in the JW model to support this software. I do know both systems use the same codec so I really don't see this as being a hardware limitation as much as a software one.

End result is we need either a complete X-Fi MB2 driver package for the G73JH, or at least a compatible install for the JW software for the JH.

I may add, I uninstalled all the Creative software and Sacred 2 does not crash with the "-skipopenal" missing from the shortcut, so it would seem that installing the JW software solution on the JH would result in only EAX 2.0 compatibility.
