Saw this late last night and woke up surprised to find no mention of it here.
Not much there. The review does state the 5870m is better, but there is a severe lack of benchmarks.
What I'm bummed about on the review and commented about it on that discussion thread, was the lack of detail about the panel.
The JW panel is supposed to be 120hz for 3D gaming and I am curious to see if/how much this provides a better PQ over the JH display.
I'm a real videophile and if that panel gives a much better PQ for games and movies over the JH HD 1080p panel, and the loss in fps by switching to the 460m is not too substantial than I'm very interested in upgrading or finding out if the panels can be switched out.
Still, the review is out, which means others should be coming. Hopefully we'll get more info on the general performances of this new G73 as well as the differences between the two machines soon.
Cheers

Just wanted to add, that as far as I know, the G73JW-3D will have the 120hz screen. The current JW has the same panel as the JH
And IMO, only the USB 3.0 is an upgrade. I could care less about anything else. -

Linky Linky or thread is stinky
Thanks for letting us know though
GenTechPC (where NBR got their test JW) has a vid review.
So does XoticPC and BTOtech. In fact, youtube is already full of JW stuff. Ken has a Dirt 2 vid, but stays away from Ultra settings.

Sounds like the G73jh smokes the G73jew but they just don't want the real benchmarks to get out.

Not sure about that review. Review says only thing missing is an eSATA because "HIS" opinion eSATA is faster. Everything I've read about USB 3.0 should be as fast, if not faster with the benefit of being a powered port.
- Once externals support USB 3.0 properly, it should be faster than eSATA. -
G73jh vs. G73jw appears (APPEARS) to be about equal. Notebookcheck had a thing, I think.
Nvidia gets higher marks for tessellation, but ATI gets overall better power/watt (or something like that). Works out that the ATI card is ~5% faster at stock, but both have crazy OC headroom. -
Need more benchmarks!!! <3
