Good news only, for a change.
I took my almost 3 year old G73JW and put it through the ringer
Found a Window 7 x64 ISO online, and did a clean install from scratch. Activated it, with number under the notebook.
Installed only the drivers needed to run, from the ASUS drivers and utilities disc.
Updated the Bios to 205 and update the Vbios.
I think the registry becomes bloated over time, and a clean instal is a good fix.
This thing is once again howling, like it should. woop woop. :)
