For those who may be able to help.

I purchased a G73JW-A1 in the beginning of November, 2010. By the middle of November it was in for repair to the LCD screen (frustrating). I got it back at the end of January (very frustrating to wait over two months). When I got it back, I decided to reload the OS from scratch to rid it of bloatware and what not. I followed the guide on this forum to download the Windows 7 64-bit ISO, backup my activation and restore it. After, I pulled the latest drivers down from support.asus.com and installed them all... everything seems to be working well for about a week.

I have done this process now two times. Anytime I login, a lockup occurs shortly after login (~60 seconds). Has anybody experience anything like this? Any tips to help identify the problem?

Install Win 7 one more time, but disable Windows Update when asked about it. Then install Win 7 SP1 x64 RTM (it's out officially now). When that's done, install your chipset and driver updates and DirectX, then go ahead and do Win Update.
