I Picked up one of these laptops a few days ago and thought I'd throw a few points of interest into a thread for people looking at picking one up.

    - if you are used to a regular laptop keyboard, the keyboard on the G73JW takes a bit to get used to as you now have to deal with a numberpad on the right. I have also noticed a very delay as I type very quickly. It's starting to become a problem and I'm not sure what to do about it. You can see this if you put the cursor in a bunch of text and hold down the left or right arrow keys. The cursor will stutter every now and then. Hopefully a driver update or bios update will fix this ASAP.

    - The laptop comes with 2x500GB hard drives (Seagate) that seem to be quite heavy. I replaced them immediately with an OCZ Vertex 2 SSD and a WD Blue 640GB drive I had lying around. So far, both drives perform very well. The brackets are a bit of a pain in the , but nothing too taxing.

    - As stated in another thread, the Nvidia 260.99 drivers will not recognize the built-in card. I used the default Asus drivers.

    - I am having a LOT of trouble with the wireless and bluetooth. I haven't seen anyone else post about this issue, so it may just be me. The wi-fi keeps disconnecting and 'resetting' itself and I can't get my bluetooth mouse to connect again after a reboot....I need to add in the device each time I restart.

    - The power brick is massive. It's an actual brick. Give me another 10,000 of these and I'll build a house.

    - The screen is very crisp and bright. No complaints. And my previous laptop was a 2008 Macbook Pro with an OLED screen :)

    - the laptop is silent. Even when I pop a DVD in the drive, I can't hear it. It seems to be very well designed with cooling and sound in mind.

That's it for now. If I find any other major item, I will post. :)
