Hey, this is my first post on the these forums. But I have been following the Asus Gaming forums for 2 years now, and have been helped considerably with things like: finding drivers, disassembling, thermal pasting, and more. Till now I have just relied on the searching threads of others to solve the problems I've encountered. But now I've run into a problem that I can not seem to solve. And thus I've joined the forums to have one more go at solving this problem. Procrastination on my part.

The problem is getting Creative and Realtek to work together on Windows 7 on my G73Jh.

Thus far I have tried at least five of the suggestions on Notebook Review and other sites.

Realtek installs fine, the Creative driver is the issue. I keep getting:

    A.PNG

I've also tried the suggestion on the thread: Creative X-Fi MB 2 for your G73 (Realtek HD 2.62), but here even the Realtek driver will not install.

I have all my files on an external drive and am willing to use my computer as testing device to solve this problem (meaning I can completely reformat and try different suggestions. And I'll post the results I get so it may help you guys as well. Is there anyone who has gotten these to work together? I may end up buying external speakers, if I can solve this, hopefully it won't come to that.

By the way, I must mention that I got the Creative to work fine will Realtek when I was using Windows 7. And also, I've seen brief mentions of this being a compatibility problem with Creative, something to do with digital signature, anyone if this is true?

It should, because the update is integrated in the driver pack.
