    Hi,

    I am using a G73-Jh with 8GB Ram the i720 (1.6Ghz) and 1GB 5870. I am wanting to start using the PCSX2 emulator. However, the performance is very poor. I have been trailing multiple settings with "The Getaway: Black Monday" but the most I can seem to get is 15-20fps (unplayable).

    Any suggestions? Thanks

    Try this:

    Config => Video (GS) => Plugin Settings

    Renderer: Direct3D11 (Hardware)
    Resolution: 3x Native

    Config => Plugin/BIOS Selector

    GS: GSdx 4600 (MSVC 15.00, SSE41) 0.1.16 [gsdx-sse4-r4600]

    Thanks that definitely helped- but it is still not quite smooth. Should I be using speed hacks?

    In general should I be expecting good performance or the G73 not powerful enough?

    You may try speed hacks too to see if it would help increase fps, I know there are specific settings on a particular game that you would like to play, you may check those info on google. Another way is that you may lower the resolution to native for example though that doesn't look good =)

    I have searched around a bit, but not a lot of luck. I'm only really interested in Getaway: Black Monday.

    Switching on the "Renderer: Direct3D11 (Hardware)" does a great job, but when I am on the streets driving I get the white wall bug. Looks like a wall of white fog constantly 10 metres infront of me. Any ideas?
