I recently took the plunge and updated my G73 to Windows 8, which has been a pretty good decision so far. It did take some time to get everything working and it took some G75 drivers to make everything compatible, but most things are in order.

However, while playing Borderlands 2, I have been having some issues related to the audio driver. While playing Steam games or even listening to music, my compy will crash and make the looping, almost buzzing sound. The only way to recover from such a crash is to hard restart it, which I am obviously not fond of. Anyway, I understand that this issue was all but solved with Windows 7, but I was wondering if anyone had found a solution for Windows 8.

The driver I am using is R2.70 for both the audio driver and the ATI HDMI driver, and I am not using Creative anything at this point. Any help is appreciated!

Thank you, that seems to have solved it!
I found a link directly to all the audio drivers on Asus' website: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download Audio
Also, if you want to find them, you can just search "Audio" instead of naming your model on the Support downloads page.

Well, the crashing is still happening, it is just more rare. At this point, I'm just hoping the Realtek drivers they release get better, but we'll see.
