    Hey guys,

I'm trying to figure out which wireless card I have in my G73SW-A1,
Windows 7 found (in Device Manager) an Atheros AR9285 Wireless Adaptor, after I did a clean install.

Which is working fine and reports a connected speed of 150Mbps as I have a 150mbps Router.

There are 5 different drivers on the Asus Support site for the G73SW, so I've no idea which one to use, or if I even need it as it currently works.

    Any ideas or suggestions?

    Thanks :)

Thanks for the link, but I'm unsure if the card was detected correctly by windows, if this is not the card listed on the Asus Support site.

Anyone got a link for the G73SW Driver CD ISO... I've seen the link for a G73JW, but looking for the SW driver CD.

    Thanks

The drivers you need for an atheros card on the asus website are the azurewave one. Anyways i'm pretty sure most of the drivers for the JW and SW are the same, some will probably be different but for LAN/audio/webcam you should be ok.

The one windows detect should be correct, it either detects it correctly, or shows up as an unknown device, since every VendorID and ProductID is unique to that specific model. The driver I linked works for all Atheros AR92xx wifi cards.

    Hello,

I suggest you go at ATHEROS Wireless, LAN, Bluetooth and other drivers.

As they say themselves, they are Unofficial Site, but you should find all drivers for all Atheros devices.

    @+ ;)

Its Atheros card. Go to device manager to get exact model but drivers won't help. Atheros cards are horrendus. I suggest you spend $20 and get a Intel 6200 or something. You won't have any such issues.

LOL, what's wrong with the card, it seems to work OK so far?

I'm just curious as I wasn't sure what driver it was on the Asus site, and windows found it anyway and it works.
