So ASUS G73SWs generally come cheaper than P170HMs at the same specs, so I managed to get one for about $650 AUD on an ebay auction.
The reason I picked this, as I've noticed several people have managed upgrades, including to an Nvidia 770m.

So what I'd like to ask, assuming I followed these steps:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/asu...um/641007-g73jh-6970m-upgrade-infomation.html
Could I use the AMD 6990m from my Clevo P150HM?
It is quite definately a clevo card, and I know for a fact the G73SW GPU is upgrad-able, assuming I buy a G73JH heatsink.

I'd also like to know if I could, in future use a Clevo AMD 7970m, which has also been reported to work in a a ASUS G73JH.
A solid yes/no, and what additional steps I'd be required to do, is what I'd consider a good answer. :)

I'd also like to know what it means by the screws being too thick?
Will I need to buy some clevo GPU screws?
In which case, that's fine, I don't imagine they cost much.

    Edit:
Will my Clevo P150HM's 220watt PSU work with this?

Edit2: Sorry mods, please move this to the "ASUS gaming notebook" board, it's 3:26AM, so please forgive me.

It's a lot more work than a HM, you are going to have to strip it down more too, the 6990M probably will work but you have to be really careful with cooling the VRMs properly or the card will kill itself.

The 6990M seems to be quite a fragile card too.
