This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    well, in gaming, RAM is more than enough, if you run 1 or 2 apps at once. Gaming experience is mostly based on ur video card though.......

    You really don't need more than 4gb unless you're heavy into video/audio production and need to store HUUUGE files in memory. And even then, unless you're doing professional work and getting paid for it, you don't really need it.

    4GB is more than enough for everyday use and gaming. Only time more is needed is when you do Professional video editing, 3D design or running Virtual Machines. When you use Adobe After Effects and Photoshop as a hobby of sorts, 4GB should be enough considering you won't have a ton of renders open at the same time and each project is relatively small compared to corporate projects.
