Xoticpc.com, I just ordered mine from there, and it arrived yesterday..!!

ANd they confirmed it is the "fixed" sandy bridge version before I ordered.

Tigerdirect has IMHO the best deal. $1500, Blu ray, 2 year warranty. 500gb drive leaves room for an SSD.

The best buy G73SW has a gimped GPU. I wouldn't recommend that model.

You have lost your mind. It is the exact same price as the JH/JW when they launched and nearly twice the CPU.

I looked at a few of them and decided that the $1500 Tigerdirect one is definitely the best price if you don't mind the poor camera... (I'm assuming all Tigerdirect web-cameras will have the same manufacturer and are of the same low quality, but I could be wrong) No "gimped" GPU like Best Buy (the best buy GPU has 1GB video memory), but it doesn't have blu-ray writing capability like (I think) the Best Buy version one does -- not completely sure about that one. Best Buy also has an ahem, "immediate" tax attached to it, plus shipping -- that's $100 extra.

The Tigerdirect version is only 500GB, unlike the Best buy or Newegg ones... 500GB should be plenty though, and an extra 500GB drive is not worth the $400 difference for the Newegg model. You could buy a 128GB SSD for $250 and have money "left over".

Tiger Direct with the XT1 does have a good buy at $1499.

Comparing that to the XA1 at Amazon for $100 less, the only difference I can see is the XA1 has a larger hard drive but no blueray. Not sure I care about Blueray.

Right now the Amazon deal just looks better.

Here is an odd OT question... what is the height (in inches) of the G73 display? I'm considering an external LED display with the same resolution but want the sizes to match. Right now I have 3 displays, (2) 20" displays with a 27" in the center (not using my Gateway laptop display). The amount of realestate is fantastic but the different monitor heights can be a little distracting.

The lcd panel without the bezel is about 8.5" high. From the base to the very top of the bezel, is about 11 and 3/4 inches high. Not sure if thats exactly what you were looking for, but hope it helps. :>

Those models with one hard drive, do those models have cage and connectors for the second hard drive?

    Many thanks in advance!

Nope, sadly you gotta buy it from the asus store or I've seen a few links to some cheap ebay ones that are supposed to fit as well.

Do you have the part number link from the ASUS store?

    Many thanks!

I am thinking of getting the Amazon one hard disk version the XA1.

    Hard Drive Caddy

I prefer the fact that these come only with a single hard drive as I plan to add a SSD as the primary :)

There is also a post in here where someone added a piece of cardboard in with their SSD to insure it was a tight fit.

That is exactly what I was looking for, thanks!

I am not if I can use two hard disk in ASUS N61Jq?

    Any thoughts?

Though not in the DVD caddy!
