The tigerdirect.com and buy.com version is the G73SW-XT1 that comes with Blu-ray and a 2 year warranty, vs. the XA1 from amazon.com without Blu-ray and only a 1 year warranty. $100 difference between the 2.

Has anyone purchased the XT1? Does it have the same build quality as one ordered from say Xoticpc? If I remember I think it has the RoG stickers on it as well.

Never dealt with one, but I agree it's the best deal goin for a G73Sw. Theoretically it should be the same quality as one from Exotic, if the Exotic one was totally stock. If it wasn't stock, then Exotic would have tested it and found out if it had problems before selling it. Also Exotic will provide better support and customer service. Tiger direct has a bad rep for that, but as long as the unit you get isn't defective and doesn't need to be returned, it won't be an issue.

Tiger direct has the worst customer service ... ever. But also amazing prices. If you feel like gambling on getting a good unit, go there. Amazon may only have a 1 year warranty, but ... it's good.

Choosing between those models really just depends on if you need/want a blueray player. Honestly, bias or not, I'd choose XA1 since its cheaper, and Amazon is great at handling replacements if you get a dud first time around.

It will be the same design wise as any other G73 ;)

Just make sure the GPU is 1.5GB and not 1GB. The 1GB version (like the one bestbuy has) is not good.
