Tried to set BIOS to first boot from USB and had to create a new boot option. Well it didn't go so well because now it won't post. It goes to the first asus splash screen and then I'm left with a blinking cursor in the left hand corner and nothing happens. BIOS screen doesn't come up at all. Is there a way to reset the bios without being able to get into the BIOS screen?

    Try this:

There is a little hole on the bottom of the laptop that has a weird symbol next to it. I think it looks like a dot with two lines extending outwards or upwards from it. (Sorry, doing that part from memory. Don't remember exactly what it looks like)

Anyway, with the unit off and the battery out, push a paper clip into the little hole. You should feel what feels like a button at the bottom of the hole. Press and hold it there for about 10 seconds.

The result of this is a CMOS reset. Don't know if this will resolve your issue, but it's a place to start.

Just hit F2 at the asus splash screen and reset the boot order. I did this same thing. Strangely, I found out that you can actually boot from the USB stick by highlighting it in the bios boot order screen and pressing enter.
