    G73jh Blu-Ray Drive issue

    Hey guys this is my first post.. i have been watching for a while this forum soo i decided to post my problem that occured to me from the first time i turned on my new laptop!
    Blu-Ray drive skips & skips... When I insert a dvd or a cd and try to copy or read files from the cd/dvd it stops for some minutes then it starts again then it pauses again over and over.
    My ODD model is MATA BD-CMB UJ141AS . Also i would like to tell you that my ODD'S Driver Date is 21/06/2006 which is awkward. Is it supported by Windows 7?
    I have also updated my bios to 209..and unistalled creative soft and the problem still exists...! If you can give me some advice i will appreciate it.

    I have the exact same problem but it hasnt bugged me until late as I never used to use the Optical Drive much, ive searched for updated firmware but cant find any, were you able to fix this?
