    Hi,
I wonder if I can buy 940XM from the Internet, and send it with the laptop to an authorized service and they exchange him without voiding warranty for a smaller fee. Because 940XM price in asus is almost 1/3 higher than on web. I don't see any reason for higher price for exchange than 30€ except that they want to take our last money. There is big difference between the purchase it on web for 350-500€ and purchase it directly from asus for almost 1000€.

That’s because the 940XM you see on tinternet (eBay I presume ??) are ‘Engineering samples’. I bought one and stuck it in myself. I just took the change voiding the warranty. But I can tell you, even these 940XM’s ES (for Engineering sample) baby’s Rock. And Rock hard !! If I have to I can run it with all four cores running at 3.6 GHz so……….. Yeah, I am very happy with it and take the ‘voiding the warranty’ for granted without difficulty.

Performance is great although during normal light comp work you won’t notice the difference much. As the processor score in the WEI shows as well. Only 0.3 higher than the standard i7 cpu has. But well……..its unlocked so if you crack up the multipliers and give it something to chew on then you’ll notice the difference. And together with the SSD it makes this laptop fly. Very happy with the performance here (“,)
Some advice: IF you decide to stick one of these beasties in, make sure you use some good quality thermal paste. It draws 65 Watt instead of 55 so it needs proper cooling. I used “Liquid metal pro” but any good quality paste will do. I haven’t seen my cpu hit 80 degrees yet.

Mine is 7.3 on the GPU as well I notice this goes up from 7.2 when I change drivers and overclock.

Im happy with my CPU score of 7.1 and Memory of 7.5 at the moment because of overclocking however the XM will be on the cards eventually they are awesome chips.

Yep, Daller is right Maximo. 7.3 on the GPU using a moderate OC (750/1050) and the latest drivers for the 5870. I am currently using the 11.5a Hotfix driver. I just did a re-run of my WEI and I got the same 7.3 score (see screenie)

    So, good luck.

Stock everything. I know, you jelly? But seriously, the WEI doesn't matter unless it's a drastic difference than what it's suppose to be.

Looks like you dont have the GPU running on performance mode go into CCC powerplay and change it.
