I haven't been on in a while, but I'm back with another set of problems with my G73jh.![]()
After having experienced Asus' RMA process 4 times now, I think I'll have to live with or repair any future problems with my laptop myself, as I've all but given up hope for Asus' quality control/repair departments. After receiving my laptop back from Mason ~4 months ago, I've recently noticed that the palm rest and left side of the mouse button are "sticky." When I press the left side of the button, it sinks deep into the palm rest, and it causes the area around it to depress slightly. The right side is perfectly solid. The left button is quite hard to press, and it "clicks" twice while depressing.
I know this is a horrible description of my problem, but it's about the best I can do. So, my question is if this would be easy to inspect/repair myself. How much hardware would I have to dig through to get to the underside of the button? Any ideas on what could be causing this?

My other issue is a bit of light leaking from the frame of the screen, and the webcam. The frame of the LCD seems to be warped.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.![]()

For the touchpad button give this a look: http://forum.notebookreview.com/asu...ubwoofer-loose-please-help-2.html#post6901160
For the lcd bezel it looks like it's a little bit warped. With the computer off, try pressing or squeezing the bezel to snap the tabs back into place. If that doesn't do it it may be bent or something. -
