There was a .scr virus in my laptop, so i tried to format the laptop and re install to the factory state. I was able to do so couple weeks ago. But this time when i tried to go to Recovery screen by pressing F9 at start up. I was not able to get into the installation process. My laptop currently has 2 partitions. What can i do, please help me. When i tried to reinstall windows using Advanced Recovery Methods but it didnt work.

Please help me, thank you very much

Can you still see the 19.53 Recovery Partition that ASUS made? You can check it out by typing out "Computer Management" on the search box on Windows start menu then going to Disk Management option on the leftside menu.

I'm not sure why the F9 Recovery option is not working on you, as I've never been able to use it before because I only used my recovery disks made from Asus AI Recovery Burner to get back on factory state.

In any case that you still can't get F9 Recovery option to work, and you weren't able to make recovery disks of your factory state, then you the last thing I could think of is for you to do a fresh install using Legal Download from DigitalRiver: Windows 7 SP1, 13 languages (I've found the downloadable installer from this post http://forum.notebookreview.com/asu...-thanksgiving-day-ssd-installation-guide.html and a lot of users seem to have used that already). In this process, you would have to manually install all the drivers and programs as it wasn't a recovery operation. You could get the drivers and applications on Chastity's G73 Driver and Application Reference Page though a lot of files there are on dead links and you might have to wait for Chastity to make it available again (or you might send her a pm and let her know that you need it badly =) )

Marking that active would allow it to boot :)
