    Hi all -

Quick question here - I've been playing a variety of games on my new machine, and it's delivered the goods on all of them...with one notable exception: TF2, a game I play regularly with friends.

While general gameplay and fps is excellent (even with graphics nearly maxed), there are occasional, extremely frustrating intermittent pauses/stutters in performance that last anywhere from 1-5 seconds. I'm unable to tell if they're related to graphic, audio, or network performance, but it seems highly unlikely that it's the latter, given that I play through multiple connections.

I'm running the 10.3 Catalyst drivers - any ideas here?

I've been playing cs source like crazy and there has only been a couple times where this happens to me as well, only its like one second. Maybe just valve games?

just played for an hour in a 28 player server with no stuttering

I dont wanna point fingers at the 10.3 drivers but thats the I only difference between our setups that I know of

I'll report back later after Ive had some more time wih the game

Don't enable multicore if you have that on.

Really no issues with TF2 here. I might see a hiccup for a split second, but nothing major or annoying. I don't have the creative driver/software and I'm using the modded ATI 10.3.

I haven't had issues in TF2 yet. One of the first games I tried on the G73 stock drivers and settings. Since then, it's just gotten better.

Also enable multi-core. Source engine was one of the first engines I believe that took advantage of multi-threading.
