Hey folks! Love the new laptop. An update:
I updated to the latest Catalyst driver and got the GSOD. Went back to stock and It's fine. In Tomb Raider Underworld, the edge of shadows look a bit choppy. I see that happen on pretty much every other computer, but I want to know why and if It can be avoided. I'll attach a screenie.

I think thats just how the game is, looks fine to me.

I would look under the game options and see if there are any shadows or lighting options to change how it looks.

Sadly, no. I couldn't find any other shadow settings other than shutting them off. Like I said, All the videos on youtube show the game like that as well. Hm.

Its the shadow DMAP resolution. Because the game was also on consoles, the shadow res was limited (it is a texture after all) but trust me, even doubling the resolution on shadow maps can decrease performance up to 60%. But looking at the screenshot, the shadows are the least of your problems. The game just looks bleh.... :)
