I just joined the ranks of proud G73 owners yesterday! I picked up the Best Buy model, and have been very pleased with it so far.

Just curious however, many of you seem to be upgrading the wireless adapter. Whats the reason(s) for doing so? I seem to be getting a good connection so far.

For those that are replacing, is it the Intel adapters that are preferred? What model?

    Thanks!!

The only adapter I can think of is the awesome Intel centrino advance-n 6200. Its straight much more reliable, better speed and range than the atheros card.

No issues here with the stock stuff 100% signal at both work and home and I get the full 20mb/s download speed over a G network.

If I was to upgrade I would go full bend and get a 6300 and add a 3rd antenna. No point in such a small incremental upgrade IMO.
