Hi guys! I was looking for a pair of two 4gb 1844mhz from corsair and it want to know if I can use this in my lap and if I need to overclock the fsb to reach the frequency.
    Thanks!

You won't be able tor each that frequency and the FSB has been ditched by Intel with the first generation core i, the clock generator is still separate from the CPU on a Clarksfield, but still not sure that you will be able to get what you want. I wouldn't bother with new RAM until you get a new laptop.

But I could use the set fsb to overclock the processor and the ram.
But I don't know if my g73 will handle the high fsb
Now I can use [email protected] in my fsb over clocking the CPU and the ram.

    EDIT
    I forgot something
With a faster memory my bottleneck will reduce?
    Thanks

Probably not much since the first gen are mostly limited by their frequency and compute output but it would not hurt (or do you mean will you get more out of the base clock? If so then maybe, you could try thiaphoon burner to lower your frequency on the ram and test), just remember ram run at a lower frequency (stock setting) will switch to tighter timings so may not get back up to the original frequency at those timings.

Your 1866 ram will think it's in a 1333 setup even if you overclock. That may just help if the sticks can handle the frequency.
