Just wanted to give a friendly warning to those who might be looking to upgrade their g73jh to a Firepro m6000/7870m you should steer clear of listings that say things like " For ASUS G73JH ATI 5870M 1GB upgrade 7800M M6000 2GB video card Plug and Play"
These cards do work but with a catch, they are modified

In a poor bit of decision making they pull off one of the Inductors and replace it with a smaller and weaker one with the logic of "It makes the heatsink fit better" (that's what they told me, and tbh the heatsink should fit fine without this). While the card will continue to work fine for light loads and general use, if you put it under a stressful/high current draw load like a maxed out Heaven benchmark @ 1080p your card will cause the system to just shut off.
If you're curious though these are Dell FirePro m6000 cards, if you come across a chinese seller with unmodified cards you should be fine but ones specifically listed for the g73jh seem to have this modification.

Good to know. Its always hit or miss when you buy from a Chinese seller. If its only that component which was replaced though, you could try to solder an original inductor back on, as long as you can find one for sale.
