Hi guys, today when i was playing league of legends i noticed a small fps drop and then decided to take a look at my gpu temp incase my laptop was overheating or something, then noticed that for some reason my gpu core clock had decreased for some reason, nothing has been touched, drivers are fully updated, catalyst 11.6 so... i want my 700 gpu core clock back! help would be appreciated :)

    Thanks in advance

Typically the GPU will be at 405MHz on idle and browsing, 500MHz during video and 700MHz during gaming and other GPU intensive tasks. Did you check WHILE gaming?

Yes this screenshot was taken when i was playing crysis2, i thought it would run LoL at 500 core since its not a demanding game but then i tried bc2 and crysis 2, stayed at 500

I tried turning powerplay on and off also rebooted, not working

Your 2nd pic says GPU load of 0%, hence the low clocks. You could play your game and leave the GPU-Z minimized then check after playing and press the value to show min. and max, it should show max Mhz.

1st pic shows you're currently configured to 700 Mhz. If you have MSI Afterburner, that too will show min. and max core speed when left minimized while playing, plus current configuration.

    sample:
    View attachment 67207

click the value, it will show min. and max.

Set GPU-Z to log a file and then launch the game. Check the time at which you launch the game. Afterwards load any save and let it sit there for a few minutes, close it and check the log file. You'll know for sure it it wasn't clocking properly.

I just figured out what was going on, i had a youtube vid minimized so for some reason the gpu was picking up the flash player over the game so the cores were being used for the flash, closed the vid and clocks went back to 700 and now my fps is back to normal
Thanks for the help guys :)
